six out of ten is an online London, loves and lifestyle magazine for people with their head in the clouds and feet on the ground. So. That could be a luxury weekend away in a city spa hotel being fed grapes from a male model’s hand, to mud wrestling a friend to the ground at a festival.
It’s a place where honest reviews meet informative content, with a little light-hearted fun along the way.
The magazine was founded one drizzly, grey day by me, Laura, a thirty-something student nurse from London. With a background in journalism and PR, and experience working with some of the biggest international brands as a creative copywriter and travel marketeer, I curate and create the things you read (doesn’t that sound so poncey?) while studying for my BSc.
I absolutely love London, which is why this is a London blog. And as a London blogger, for me it’s all about what’s new and old in the city I’ve called home for over a decade. I work with some of the best brands and agencies, as well as keeping my ear to the ground, to bring our readers the next best thing.
And the opinions. Oh the opinions. Whether it’s insulting mummy bloggers or talking about my loathing of poppy wearers, this is a no-holds-barred space for me to talk about what’s going on in my life. And of course, as an English student nurse blogger, it’s where I talk about how life is changing for the better, and for worse.
I don’t do it single-handedly though, as there’s a team of talented writers behind me covering all the bases. And a PR-turned-national-magazine-editor husband who helps out too.
So. Why the name? It’s a line from Bloc Party’s song Helicopter. You should give it a listen some time.
